Camino Real Carmenere 2009
Right from its color, deep ruby red with purple hues, this wine is different from traditional varieties. It opens up to the nose with a subtle aroma of green bell pepper -characteristic of the variety-, black and blue berries, spice notes and a mineral touch. In mouth, tannins are smooth and elegant; it feels round and balanced, which is probably why this character wine is a particular favorite of women. A very good wine to complement flavorful meats like lamb or goose; also creamy cheeses such as Brie, pastas and well-spiced dishes (Spanish, Thai, Chinese, etc).
