Schild Estate Pure Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon 2008
The Schild name has a long history in the Barossa, dating back to 1952 when Ben Schild purchased the Three Spring Farm properry in Rowland Flat and settled with his family. Today, second and third generation vigneron's work side by side to solidify Schild Estate's reputation, built on nits commitment to translating the unique tapestry of its vineyards into wines that speak of honesty and drinkability. Through careful selection of the best fruit from our extensive holdings, with harvesting at optimum ripeness, this wine captures the essence of this great variety as an expression of Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon. The palate is driven by rich black plums, showing hints of ripe blackcurrants, cigar box and smooth French oak with soft well integrated tannins. This wine can be enjoyed now or well benefit from careful cellaring.
